  • CARE AND MAINTENANCE
WHEN FIRST USING YOUR CANDLE, BURN IT UNTIL THE WHOLE SURFACE IS MELTED.
FOR AN OPTIMAL BURNING AND TO PREVENT YOUR CANDLE TO SMOKE OR OVERHEAT, REGULARLY CUT ITS WICK (IDEAL LENGTH OF 5MM).
IF THE WICK IS ASKEWED, GENTLY PUT IT BACK IN THE CENTER WHEN WAX IS STILL MELTED, IN ORDER FOR YOUR CANDLE TO KEEP BURNING HOMOGENEOUSLY.
IN ORDER TO PREVENT THE GLASS FROM OVERHEATING, DO NOT LET YOUR CANDLE BURN MORE THAN 3H IN A ROW.
EXTINGUISH YOUR CANDLE WITH A CANDLE SNUFFER OR A LID IN ORDER TO AVOID SMOKE OR WAX SPLATTERS.
THE USE OF A LID BETWEEN EACH USE WILL PROTECT THE WAX FROM DUST.

    BURNING TIME :
    ABOUT 65 HOURS

THE OBJECT

DESIGNED BY HEDI SLIMANE, THE CANDLE HOLDER RECAPTURES THE LINES OF THE PERFUME BOTTLE IN THE CELINE HAUTE PARFUMERIE COLLECTION AND IS IN KEEPING WITH THE TRADITION OF FRENCH GLASSMAKING.

IN FACETED AND BLOCK-TINTED BLACK GLASS, IT IS INSPIRED BY THE DESIGN OF AN 18TH CENTURY FACETED SILVER GOBLET. THE CANDLE’S BOX AND LABEL ARE ADORNED IN PAPER WITH A “GRAIN DE POUDRE” FEEL AND ARE EMBOSSED WITH THE RECREATION OF 17TH CENTURY MOLDING.

THE MAISON’S “TRIOMPHE” EMBLEM IS EMBOSSED ON THE TOP OF THE BOX.

THE WAX-MAKER’S SAVOIR-FAIRE

GUIDED BY HEDI SLIMANE, PERFUMERS AND WAX-MAKERS COMBINE TALENTS AND SAVOIR-FAIRE. EACH PIECE UNDERGOES THE METICULOUS PRODUCTION METHOD DEVELOPED BY THE MAISON’S WAX-MAKER, ALMOST UNIQUE IN FRANCE AS TO HAVE ALSO RECEIVED TRAINING AS A PERFUMER.

THE STAGES IN PRODUCTION ARE DESIGNED TO FAITHFULLY RECREATE THE ACCORDS AND PRESERVE THE QUALITY OF THE INGREDIENTS CHOSEN BY THE PERFUMERS:
1 SLOW CASTING WITH A 24H RESTING PERIOD BEFORE THE SMOOTHING STAGE ON THE CANDLE’S SURFACE.
2 PRODUCTION IN SMALL LOTS OF A MAXIMUM OF 1000 PIECES. ONE SINGLE PROCESS TO AVOID THE PERFUME CONCENTRATE FROM HEATING FOR MORE THAN ONE HOUR WHEN IT IS MIXED WITH THE CANDLES AND OILS.
3 A LENGTHY PAUSE IN THE OPEN AIR, THE TIME NEEDED FOR THE WAX TO SOLIDIFY NATURALLY IN ORDER TO PRESERVE THE PERFUME.
